After spending the Bank Holiday weekend near Skegness in the camper, my fiance, Collie and I finished our weekend closer to home so we didn’t get stuck in traffic. I felt like we didn’t do a great deal of walking, so we on the morning, we packed our backpacks with loads of healthy foods (and some naughty side) ready for a walk along the canal to Coventry City Centre.
To make this blog a little less wordy, I took loads of snaps to show you the journey and a result section of the walk. I have to say, this is my longest and best walking day that I have had since owning two fitbits.
After eating low fat sausage sandwiches and coffee for breakfast, we then set off at 10am from Bulkington, initially taking a footpath off Mill Lane and joined the Coventry Canal from Bedworth.
We then decided to eat our lunch on a near by park, then took our Border Collie, Hans on his first train ride from Coventry to Nuneaton, costing £4.90 each. I did not know that dogs were free on trains, or buses when I inquired.
Once we reached Nuneaton, we all walked towards the A5, Watling Street (marked the green circle) to start our final phase of the Canal Walks, aiming back to Bedworth and home in Bulkington.
And here are my lovely results and have sore toes to prove it! I slept well that night, but would have benefited from a longer lie-in!
I hope this blog or the fitbit inspires you and I definitely recommend it if you want to be motivated and know how many calories you burnt which in turn, communicates with MyFitnessPal.
