Aren’t Border Collie’s intelligent? They can even order things on Amazon with their paws and everything. I even got a little paw-stamped note too; better than a card I say.
And I got an array of little treats that I wasn’t expecting, apart from the much needed OXO Good Grips garlic press after my old no-peeling jobby from TK Maxx finally wimped out after 10 years when faced with some unusually fat cloves. (Fishing bits of metal out of my stew was not pleasant).
Then for the colder nights in the campervan, this Zippo Hand Warmer with Pouch which has already been so comforting for my chilli digits. It’s a bit scary to start off with initially as it needs to be filled with petrol and fire scares the bejeezus out of me (it’s more ignorance than trying to be sensible), but once lit up, it can last more than 12 hours until it runs out and totally safe, even stored in your pocket (yes, while it’s lit. The heat isn’t overpowering, so might be weak for some, but if you’re truly cold, you’ll appreciate it like a comforting silky or blanket.
Then for the emergency sewing kit for our travels. I have been known to hand stitch my backpack strap on St Ive’s beach; you just never know when you might need a kit. (I thank my Dad for teaching me this, to which I initially thought it was a silly idea).
And what better way to arrange your appointments while looking at cute pictures of Border Collies in a Calendar. I’m not very successful at sticking to dates stored in my phone; I’d much rather have something easily visible, not tucked away in an app and the amount of times I’ve saved dates, then my phone’s broken and everything’s missing. It’s just frustrating but thank god for phone insurance!
