I went to my first Christmas party of the season last week in Birmingham. And as soon as I set foot on the high street, I was met with a beautifully lit up tree, carol singers and sweet cinnamon aromas in the air. But no time to stop as I was heading straight to the Lost and Found cocktail bar in Birmingham for a bit-of-a-do hosted by Homesense.
It was a cosy little event organised through the Home and Interiors blogging network, HIBS100. But what I didn’t realise until that night was that Homesense are in fact connected with TK Maxx. I’ve spent many an hour of my day making detours to check out their homeware section, foraging for unique garlic presses, cushions and anything that catches me eye. So I told them they should definitely open one in my neck of the woods near Coventry and Nuneaton. (They tell me they’re looking in to it! Hoorah!)
In a separate room, a large table was laid out with their uber elegant Christmas range too, full of gold ornate candelabras, reindeer, snow globes and so much more. If you go and subscribe to my YouTube channel, you’ll find a vlog of my night coming up this Sunday. And after watching so many YouTuber’s hauls featuring past season’s range in awe, I was pleasantly surprised how affordable each piece was. A stunning (and enormous) candelabra for £34.99 is hard to believe and certainly perfect for a Christmas dinner table.
But getting back to the part-ay, the prosecco was flowing with more canapés than you can imagine. It was a great night and there were a lot of pieces for me to consider once I’ve finished renovating my house as featured on The Carpenter’s Daughter.
