So it is March 2nd – the official launch date of the challenge I created for fun and hopefully inspiration.
When I mentioned it in SW facebook groups, it was talked about so much that I thought it would be a terrific idea if I created my own Facebook group called I LOVE SW Soup. My phone was so busy with member joining request alerts – I was buzzing.
Since then, people have already been doing the challenge as I made the soups available on my YouTube channel, Tastefully Vikkie and also in the recipe files of the group.
While I experimented making the soups, I decide it would be silly not to do the challenge early too and now the date has come around, I’ve decided to take this as another opportunity and do it again.
On my first go at my own challenge, I lost 3.5lb. It wasn’t a difficult at all – but the inventing and filming was time consuming, so I am taking a more lax approach to it this time without my camera this time around. I will still be getting the job done – no cheating and will invent a soup for a Friday launch on YouTube.
Unfortunately when the challenge was over, I went shopping and discovered a few food reductions that were too good to miss (celebration tubs at £1 each… so I bought 6 thinking of others but have eaten 2 between us in a week and many reduced sugary cereals.
So I am taking full advantage of this challenge. Last week I officially finished Erin Motz’s 30 Day Yoga Challenge and this morning I slipped into my gym clothes after a morning walk and began her newer 10 Day Challenge – this was much more stretchy and intense (free on YouTube). I do love a good challenge! And when I finished, I kept my leggings on with the intention of finishing week 9 of the NHS Couch to 5k challenge this week – my aim is to get it done with 3 sessions this week (Mon, Wed & Fri) – as the programme suggests. Unfortunately I have been so bust since Christmas – my new found love for YouTube, the interruptions of holidays, birthdays, DIY things, I am making changes.
And I am drinking caffeine-free teas during the day and going to plan some meals in advance to avoid any TTOTM slips.
I may also do an honest food diary on here if it helps me stay on track.
So please comment below if you’re thinking of or are doing the challenge – and more importantly, good luck!
