About 8 years ago, if you asked me what my favourite mascara was, I would have told you Chanel’s latest Inimitable, but for someone in their early 20’s, I think £22 was ridiculous when all I loved was their amazing fantastic flexi rubber applicator. After looking for this picture, I’m even more shocked that it’s now around the £30 mark. I would much rather save my money and try a load more products out there. Eventually after an unhealthy bank balance, I came to my sensors and started opting for budget ones from Lacura and Boots. I actually don’t mind most cheapie ones because I’m blessed with long eye lashes, but having dark hair does come at a price in other departments where I have to get the wax strips out. I thank my Dad on this one.
Also, as part of a big beauty haul I briefy mentioned the other day, I bought two eye lash related products; a W7 black false lashes effect mascara from B&M for £1.99 and then a 49p set of Hello Kitty false eyelashes from Superdrug as I’ve never tried them before. Anything like hair extensions or other “hairy” products actually makes me feek sick (I have hair phobia called trichophobia… yes, it’s a real thing) but I am getting better with it over time.
Well, yesterday I had planned on trying the genuine falsies for a Wedding party in the evening, but in the morning, I tried this mascara by W7 which has my favourite spiky rubber applicator and to be honest, I did not want to take it off for the evening as I loved it so much and simply topped it up. This is where I thought a blog post review would be perfect for anyone wanting a fantastic bargain with great results.
Here are my eyelashes after just to coats in the morning and found it is buildable to give you your desired look. It really enhances the eyelashes, grouping and separating them in to sections and does not get all over the skin when applying as it is quite a thick consistency which is easy to work with. It only comes in black that I am aware of and the packaging is a bold yellow bullet shape which will be easy to find in my cluttered makeup bag while on my travels. The only downside I would say is it doesn’t state that it is waterproof but I did have a moment yesterday with some tears as the diamond from my engagement ring was missing from my handbag (or at least I thought it was) while I was on the way to the jewellers for repair. The mascara never ran anyhow.
I tested it through the night with a lot of dancing, and it was still in place, so if you’re looking for an impressive bargain that works almost like Chanel’s Inimitable, I totally recommend this for pennies in comparison.
I hope you found this useful and please let me know what you thought of it and I will also be posting my haul in the next couple of days in full length through a YouTube video.
