Now firstly I can’t apologise enough for the really poor quality pictures; I must have been having far too much fun at my school friend’s Wedding at the beginning of the month.
I am a frugal girl who loves a bargain and had held back a beautiful bargain dress I’d found at a charity shop and the rest of the pieces I already had.
The purple satin dress was an H&M charity shop purchase which I almost stole for £1. It is sleeveless above the knee fitted cut featuring a wide buckle belt. I was lucky it was machine washable so didn’t have to fork out on further dry cleaning!
I wore my old failthful Wolford seamless tights which are expensive but they are the only pair that have lasted me for years. The high court shoes were from Marks & Spencer in a faux purple patent leather being quite cheap and believe they cost around the £12-15 mark. And finally the diamante and ivory beaded choker was an expensive £40 Day Birger et Mikkelsen designer purchase from my Uni days which I thought teamed nicely with my H Samuel diamante earrings.
For my make up, I used Rimmel Wake Me up foundation and concealer, Estee Lauder eye shadow palette and my new W7 Lashtastic bargain mascara and smelt of my favourite perfume, Chanel No.5. And as the wedding was a two hours drive right after work, I wore a donut in my hair and some hairspray.
Hopefully next time, I’ll confidently ask someone to take a photo for blog purposes while I’m out, but it still embarrasses me from time to time.
