Yesterday I reviewed an early Christmas present, a coffee machine I acquired when visiting my parents and today’s post is very similar; an ill-fitting pair of men’s Bosch gardening gloves which were purchased for my dad’s father day. If only he’d told me they were too small we could have arranged another pair to be sorted out. We originally read great reviews on Amazon snd it’s not until after June 21st where people had posted statements such as “tiny fitting” and “GET THE SIZE UP!”
My fingers are huge and they are just a smidgen too big for me yet perfect for gardening in the new year but sadly my dad’s carpenter’s fingers didn’t get a look-in, so trying before you buy is vital here, unless you’re happy to exchange. I doubt XL would have been suitable for him either.
I originally picked them because the the sturdy ribbed texture and rubber dot grips on the finger tips and palms looked fantastic quality and they feel it too. They have a velcro wrist strap to stay in place and have now happily swapped my old pound ones from the BBC Good Food Summer Show this year as my painted nails were proving difficult to upkeep.
Be prepared for some new gardening videos as I will be taking this as an opportunity to start growing seedlings in the first week of 2016 in my conservatory to insure my tomatoes ripe in good time and fight the meanie cabbage flies. I hear some January sales calling me too top stock up on seeds… and if you hear or see any before I do, then please don’t forget to post about them below!
Here’s to new growth for a New Year!
