What? Vikkie the hermit left her kitchen once again? I sure did. And how could I resist not taking you with me? Well on Wednesday I was kindly invited by Tefal to hop on a train to London and be part of their Cook-a-long session, to introduce their soon to be launched Cook4Me Connect swanky pressure cooker. It’s the upgraded version of this one, but has promises of new recipes added to the app regularly (with a hundred to get you started right away). Long gone seem the days with the ticking time-bomb style stainless steel whistlers; my mum would always tell me to get away from it and it’s scared me ever since. The deep fat fryer has also had the same effect; if it’s potentially lethal, I never bothered to learn how to use one.
And it was particularly lovely to cook with another fellow family and lifestyle blogger, Lizzie from Firstooth and an unfortunate bloody-finger-chopping press guy. Ouch. Sadly I never felt the time was right sticking my camera in their face, but hopefully I can bump in to them again at future events.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Our trio team had fun cooking a delicious white wine and prawn risotto in about 20 minutes. The time in between was spent chatting with the odd stir here and there, so it was very easy to imagine this in a busy home. Then we gathered round, watching raw chicken cooking away with peppers in the latest Actifry Smart Connect. I’m typically a Philips Airfryer girl myself, but I could be swayed. I’ve definitely left wanting the Cook4Me Connect and will let you know as soon as I have one.
