Best Creamy Mushroom Soup in a Soup Maker {Easy Recipe}
Enjoy a warm bowl of the best creamy mushroom soup in a soup maker made with onions, garlic, potatoes, and a secret ingredient to tease your tastebuds! It's also healthy and comforting, making it perfect for tucking in on cold nights.
Using a deep based pan that has a lid, spray with frylight and add the onions and garlic and saute without the lid for 5 minutes.
Add the potatoes, celery, mushrooms and thyme, mix together and spray again with frylight- now add the lid and sweat them with the lid on for 10 minutes.
Now combine all the ingredients in to the soup maker or the deep based (except the fromage frais) and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Set to smooth (if using the pan, just simmer for 20 minutes.
Blend until smooth. Add the fromage frais and serve in to bowls. Sprinkle with nutmeg and perhaps a touch of parmesan.

Always add your stock last to prevent going over the fill line, which can cause soup maker errors
For a semi chunky soup, just cook on chunky first, then either blend briefly, or pour out half of the chunky soup and blend the remaining, then pour the other half back
Don't skip the sauteing as this creates a Malliard effect, making the ingredients sweeter and richer. Otherwise, add a pinch of sweetness at the end.
