If I was going to opt for a treat, then Indian food is always my number one go to meal. It's full of flavour, herbs, spices, with a bit of heat.
And when I was challenged by Tefal last month to find the best street food on Whitecross Street Market, London, I found this delicious Chicken Tikka Masala that needed sharing.
So, let's talk about heat again for a second again. To my surprise, a true Chicken Tikka Masala is meant to be fairly hot. I really didn't expect it to be traditionally hotter than my favourite chicken bhuna. Not that I'm complainin'!
I do find it very interesting that at least the takeaways I've been to, possibly cut down on chillis to accommodate people's expectations.
But what I do find is that tasting a mild curry, like a Korma can be so boring, or any curry if it's not cooked to perfection. It doesn't hit the spot, (excuse the pun)! So I happily went on my mission to find a dish that I thought deserved a Tefal Spot sticker.
Out of curiosity though, how do you like heat in your curries?
Also, this was the first time I'd ever visited Whitecross Street Market, but I can easily see why it attracts so many people on their lunch breaks. I too would be checking out their daily offerings.
But if paying a visit to London isn't viable, then here's the video recipe so you can make it yourself at home. Enjoy!
I didn't need much convincing collaborating with Tefal as I've used their oven proof pans for years, including my favourite kitchen gadget since last year, the Cook4Me Connect multi cooker. It's the biggest time saver, ever!
