Here's how I make my own DIY cooking oil spray for low calorie Slimming World recipes.

The next time you run out of frylight, why not top up the empty bottle with this recipe to use up some spare oil?
I very rarely buy pure oil and when I do, it's actually been for beauty purposes; (almond oil, extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil).
As for the ratio I use, it really is personal preference, but find that if I add no water, the spray gets stuck and if I add too much water, I get a residue in my pan. So that's my reasoning; you might want to experiment.
And obviously, it goes without saying that this is harder to work out the calories compared to a Frylight 1 calorie per spray.
Recipe
- An equal mix of oil and water *Use distilled water if you want it to last longer
- Empty frylight bottle or a mister
- Fill up the bottle with a 50/50 mix of water and oil.
- Put the lid back on and shake well.

Frylight has slightly more than 50% oil in it anyway so the cals per spray should not change.
When i make this i add a teaspoon of cheap vodka as it stops the mixture separating too quickly in the bottle (still have to shake before using though). You can also make the butter flavor one too by mixing 50/50 melted spreadable butter with water plus a little vodka (spreadable butter is mostly oil anyway).
