I bought a massive carrier bag of reduced bananas last week and couldn't resist at £2. When I buy them, I get on a smoothie-making mission and usually a bunch will last us 3 days.
But of course, a crapload of bananas is some serious banana recipes. You could make banana bread, although this one's not vegan.
Also, this is where google blows me away once again... banana ice cream with no added sugars and fats. It just works, ok? Don't doubt me next time you consider throwing away your freckled friends.
Just peel them and throw them in the freezer over night. Once frozen chop them up and whiz them in a food processor, patiently scraping the sides with a spatula between spurts (a blender apparently whips it a little too much). I used three bananas between the two of us in my Moulinex MasterChef processor and got to use my fun new ice cream cones & matching spoon set!
So that's the classic method over and done with but we're now going to pimp it up with two more, but starting with my absolute favourite already:
2. Sicilian Lemon & Date Banana Ice Cream (Serves 2)
-3 frozen bananas, sliced
-4 dates, stoned and chopped
-1 teaspoon sicilian lemon extract
Method:
Just blend the bananas as usual and stir in the lemon & dates. Oh my, this is scrummy!
---------------------------------------------
3. Chocolate & Vanilla Banana Ice Cream (Serves 2)
-3 frozen bananas
-1 tablespoon cacao or cocoa powder
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional with Chocolate:
-Chilli Chocolate Combo: Add a couple of sprays of Chilli Frylight for an extra bite
-Snickers Theme: 1tbsp almond butter and 1tbsp agave syrup
Method:
Place everything in the processor and whiz until smooth
----------------------------------------------
4. Warm Spiced Banana Ice Cream (Serves 2)
-3 frozen bananas
-Generous sprinkling of mixed spice or cinnamon and nutmeg
Method:
Place everything in the processor and whiz until smooth
Please please please let me know what you think of this and if it is your regular desert, what is your favourite? cinnamon? honey? other fruit?

That food processor must be powerful! Which one do you use?

Not really, I just used my Moulinex Masterchef 350 and it worked a treat!
